Week 34 - 11 to 16 December 2017 - Internal plastering, sabina lintels

I return to the island for a few days this week. The plastering is finished in the guest bedrooms and hallway, the living room is nearly done as well. The terraces have been backfilled, ready for compacting and concreting. The stone facing on the East wall is up to about a metre. Good progress!

First we fill the terraces with hardcore, ...

...then with sand and gravel. This will be compacted, the rain pipes will then be placed in,
and the lot will be covered with reinforced concrete. Then tiles.

The window frames are installed in the study/trastero,
 and the stone facing for the study is growing well,

 up about a metre. This is the East side.

On the north side it's also moving well. The pipe is the air intake for the underfloor ventilation.

Part done. The hardest task is getting all the knots clean.

One day later. By the time I leave on Monday 18th Dec, it's been sanded and treated and is in Mo's hands to install when the stonework is up to window lintel level.

We also finished a lot of small jobs. Here we ran a pipe for the A/C drip

 and finished the master bedroom floor.

Site meeting with architect and plumber to finalise details of bathrooms.

I leave on Monday 18th Dec. Beautiful day. Work will slow down from the end of next week until after the Dia de los Reyes on 6 January, however Mo and Manzu will carry on building up the stone walls. Once the internal walls are all plastered and the bathrooms are built we'll put down the underfloor heating and finish the floor.  See you 2018!
