Week 39 - 15 to 20 January 2018 - Patio stone wall, internal rendering, wiring.

Another good week. Everybody is back from vacation, we have a full site. M&M build the patio low stone wall, plastering is completed in both bathrooms, electric wiring is complete, garage door is delivered, and the whole house is cleaned ready for underfloor heating next week.

Finished master bathroom. This is one of the two sink supports with shower behind. 

There will be a fixed glass pane separating sink and shower. 

All surfaces will be faced in micro cement (see Tecnocemento).

Garage door (250x220 cm) delivered along with motor and remotes.

Final electric ducting is cut in

All wiring is completed and prepped...

We moved all the remaining stone to below the pool where we'll build a wall later, when the pool is tiled and plumbed in.

Burning in the waterproof membrane on the roof joins.

Tela asfaltica (waterproof membrane) placed over join between stone and concrete. This will be cemented over and tiled.

Terrace is compacted down.

Digging a trench in the compacted terrace hardcore for one of the rain drains from roof to cistern.

I thought it would be easier to place the drains first, but found out that the compactor would/could break them, so they're done afterwards...

And finally, on Saturday morning, we clean the house of all rubbish, 

ready for the underfloor heating installation starting tomorrow (Sunday). 

This is the first time I've seen it clearly.

Tomorrow we start laying the 'corcho' over all floors. Underfloor water pipes go over this, connected into control boxes in guest wing hallway and master bedroom hallway. These in turn connect up to the air source heat pump and solar panels. When that is done the pipes will be covered in a thin layer of perfectly levelled cement, ready for tiling. While the plumbers are at work, we'll concrete the terraces which will also be tiled. We're using Rosa Gres Mistery Blanco throughout, with smooth tiles inside and anti-slip tiles outside.
