Week 58 - 21 to 26 May 2018 - Continue rendering external walls.

We carry on rendering external walls, working on plumbing in preparation for the micro cement covering, setting up for interior painting, ordering the kitchen and appliances, landscaping, and working on the 'old' house. I borrowed the BobCat from Enrique, and Steve helped spread 15 cubic meters of gravel on the driveway. 

Monday morning: starting on the second patio wall.

 A couple of hours later.

And all done. It will dry out slowly and look like the wall on the right.

Meanwhile ... Tsonyo is fitting the base for the bath tap column...

...and pressure tests the sink feeds.

Internal paint has arrived, along with a pile of dust sheets, rollers, fillers and brushes.

The air source heat pump is being installed

... and we have a plan of the underfloor heating system.

Tuesday, and more rendering on the roof parapets, stacks and pool hatch.

The patio north wall is drying out well. It never gets full sun, so will take a bit longer than others.

The finished product a day later. Now we can start on the micro cement finish.

By Thursday, Raoul has sanded walls, cleaned and masked the woodwork in the living room, master bedroom, study, master bathroom. He will continue to prepare the whole house and then apply three or four coats of the Würth white paint.

Also Thursday, Tsonyo is assembling the pool filtration and salt electrolysis system.

We also continue with detailed rendering, here the door sills for the guest bedrooms.

The west facade as of Thursday afternoon. We leave tomorrow morning, and when I return in a couple of weeks the whole house should be rendered, interior painted, bathrooms built and pool functional.
