Working on several fronts this week, mostly electrics, cement details and stone facing.
'Guest wing' waterproofed, insulated (just lower left corner so far) and start natural stone facing.
Septic tank installed, being backfilled. Looks like a locomotive in quicksand.
Sally on the patio. Base has been roughly laid. Smart Alecs abstain.
Garage and master bedroom roofs have final layer of cement,
and parapets are prepared for first coat of cement (nylon mesh).

Air conditioning power and copper piping waiting to be connected to compressors,
when roof has been tiled and parapets get second layer.
This is guest wing side. Same on other side.
This is what it looks like inside. When rendered and plastered, there will be the Air Con ready boxes in all rooms.
Garage, where the heat pump, tank, backup boiler will all converge.
All electrical ducts are chased in, boxes cemented in.
These are light switches for the kitchen.
Living room: 4 sockets in the middle, 2 TV/Cat5 sockets on left, switch box on right.
Most internal door frames are in, all aligned using the laser.
And so are most window frames. This is master bath, with tilt-and-turn window on right, larger 'normal' window on left.
Lots of other bits and pieces. These are the light cut-ins for the stairs.
Re-inforced concrete shelves in the master bedroom.

ReplyDeleteThe two white pipes are insulated copper, from the compressors on the roof. The black duct is power. The grey pipe going down is the condensation water outlet, and damp air outlet. Goes to sewer ...
