Week 62 - 18 to 23 June: Paint, paint and paint.

I think this week will be paint, paint and paint. Antonio has also said they'd start clearing the site, and as painting progresses we'll start on the microcement in the bathrooms. (https://www.tecnocemento.com/en/)

Painting doesn't make for very interesting pictures.
So here is the compressor we're using to clean all the plaster dust off walls and ceilings.

First coat on one of the bathrooms.

And another. When the microcement is done there will be a final coat of white.

Starting to clear away rubble and builders' materials. Can almost see a finished house...

Now that we can see the house in context, we can start pruning surrounding sabinas and plan what else to plant, and where...

This hasn't been the most exciting week picture wise. This is one of the sink syphons delivered Saturday morning. Nice?

That's all for this week. All the white emulsion painting should be done by the end of next week, then we start on the wood. All beams need to be cleaned and treated, and all the iroko doors and windows will be treated with Teak oil. Also by the end of next week the microcemento should be finished in both bathrooms. I leave Formentera on Wednesday and will be back second week of July, by which time I can start installing the kitchen. Wardrobes are on order, delivery scheduled for Bastille Day, 14 July.
