Weeks 60 and 61: 4 to 16 June - Rendering finished in and out

I fly back to Formentera on 13 June. I arrive to find the external rendering all finished, and the whole interior is skimmed with a coat of fine plaster (Antonio wasn't happy with the previous rough finish, which we actually quite liked, but it didn't look good when the first coat of paint was applied, so we decided to apply a coat of fin plaster throughout. That took 2 weeks.). The pool machine room plumbing is done, and the garage subfloor has been laid. A final coat of polished concrete will be applied later. The missing/damaged glazing has arrived and is fitted. At the end of the week the boys clean the house thoroughly ready for painting to start next week. And finally the kitchen is delivered and  the bulldozer is here to start removing rubble.

External rendering all done, and garage underfloor laid.

Pool plumbing is done as well, including salt electrolysis system.

Garage subfloor and plumbing for underfloor heating system. Air-source heat pump will go in corner, and solar panel system is ready for installation on the roof. Hot water system will go on left wall.

All windows and doors are now glazed.

Saturday morning, the flatpack (Ikea) kitchen arrives. Only 4 items are missing... It'll stay in the garage until the painting and electrics are finished. The boys were in all day cleaning the house with compressed air hoses, ready for painting next week. Tomorrow is day of rest.
