Week 71 - 20 to 27 August 2018. Maybe the final week of the build???

Good start on Monday: We put four truckloads of water in the pool (one truck load is 10,000 litres, so 40 thousand litres today), get the internal hot water system fully working, make good progress on the kitchen and loads more.

Fridge and ovens are in and working.
Most base cabinets are functional, wall cabinets next.
The colours don't show very well,  the protective film hasn't been removed yet.

Dishwasher, sink, wall cabs and extractor and hob
 will be done next on this side, then worktops.

All bathrooms are now plumbed in and working, apart from shower 'telefono'.

Cistern pump and regulator are now under the new manhole in the centre of the picture.
By the way, the fig tree in the distance has produced a ton of beautiful fruit.

Biggest event of Monday: filling the pool! First truck load.

Testing the jets.

Four truck loads, 40,000 litres. And 150 Kgs of salt.
Will add chlorine tabs tomorrow to kick-start the electrolysis process.

And for good measure, I've built three wardrobes, one is installed, two here, one to go.

Tuesday: Plumber finishes hot water system.

Tuesday evening: testing all the external lighting circuits.

Wednesday morning, putting in the wall units on the left side of the kitchen.

Cleaning the pool. Water is much clearer after churning overnight.

Lesson today: how the pool system works... automatic refill, pH control, salt levels, ...

... and a simple set of valves all nicely labelled.

Thursday and Friday,  more work on the right side of the kitchen.
The extractor is in and working. Wall cabs are in.
Dishwasher is in position, need to order 20cm unit to go to its right.
The 'island' on the lower right is still work in progress.
Temporary worktops in place, pending Iroko worktops.

On Saturday, do a bit more work on wardrobes, order more stuff, tidy small issues. Meeting with Antonio the builder had to be postponed, and the underfloor heating man is coming to finish off some plumbing. I fly to the UK on Monday, we come back the week after.
