Week 67 - 23rd to 28th July 2018 - More finishing bits

It seems like there is an infinite list of 'finishing' bits and pieces. We've done a lot this week, and there seems to be more left to do than when we started...

Caseta door is on. Photos sent to Gesa, now waiting for connection to mains.

Skylight frame is in and rendered. Glass on its way.

All roof pipe access points for A/C, water, solar etc have been cemented in and rendered.
By the end of the week we've cleared all the rubble and installed the electric sockets as well.

At the old house, Jeff and I remove all the remaining brezo,
renew the beams and put up new wicker ('mimbre'), below.

And relax a bit with Flower Power at the weekend, ...

..., Jazz on the Plaza on Monday,
Sant Jaume on Wednesday and a few other nice events.

Also enjoy marvellous sunsets every evening. This is at Cala Saona.

 All bathrooms now have the microcemento just about finished and iroko shelves under sinks.

The garage floor is down and walls are painted. (The floor isn't carpeted by the way, those are protective dust sheets!)

Pergola sabina posts are sanded and treated, 'mimbre' is fixed onto the roofs.

'Table' is built for the pool machine room hatch. Needs paint.

House on Saturday afternoon.

We leave on Sunday 29th for a couple of weeks back in the rain in the Cotswolds. I'll pick up the blog when I get back on 13 August to build the kitchen. In the meanwhile the wood burner will be installed, the bathrooms should be finished and the external rendering should be waterproofed, all being well...
